What surprised me most about Kabul was the amount of wedding halls popping up all around town. Lit up with thousands of colorful neon, LED and bulb lights, radiating an almost spooky alien-like glow into the dusty air, they dint seem to fit in the picture i had of the city.
Another contrast to the day scenes is created by the cold light of the huge energy-saving bulbs hanging down at every shop. Gas stations are full of it making them look more like some docking station out of a since fiction movie.
